Trust – Rejoice – Sing

I try to start every day with the Lord in His Word. This one activity has done more to help me grow in my faith, than anything I have ever done.  I went to Bible College. I served as a youth pastor for 20 years. I have delivered messages to the church. I have officiated weddings. I have led funerals. It was really Christ in me that did all of those things. My relationship with the Lord really started growing when I started setting aside time every morning to hear from Him. This blog started many years ago out of my quiet time in God’s Word.

His Word brings and has brought great peace to my heart when it seemed like there was chaos everywhere.

His Word brings and has brought great clarity to each situation.

His Word reminds me of Who He is and who I am.

King David’s “blog”/ ”song-writing sessions” give insight to the Lord and to King David’s heart. Check this out….

But I trust in your unfailing love.
I will rejoice because you have rescued me.
I will sing to the Lord
because he is good to me. (Psalm 13:5-6 NLT)

I trust the Lord with my whole heart. I trust Him even when I don’t understand. I trust Him when I’m scared. I trust Him when I’m at peace. I trust Him even in my doubts.

I and filled with joy because He holds on to me and steadies my steps. He has directed my steps out of some sticky situations. He has shown such patience when I’m done stupid things and got in a mess. He has rescued me more times than I can count.

I sing because I’m happy and filled with joy. He has given me hope. He has given me peace. He has given me ridiculous love. When I sing to Him from my position of trust and rescue – He fills my heart with His Presence and my perspective is forever changed.

Pressing On!
