Sweet Smelling Fragrance

I love the different smells of the seasons. I love the smell of honeysuckle in the spring. I love the smell of fresh cut flowers. I love the smell of flowers. I even love the smells of fall when the leaves are falling.  I know some people who experienced COVID who can smell normal just yet.

I wear cologne each day to smell fresh and alive. I love it when my grands tell me that I smell good!  I certainly don’t want to smell stinky.

Paul is teaching the church at Corinth about some values of following Jesus. He’s reminding them that we should be a sweet-smelling fragrance. Check this out….

15 Our lives are a Christ-like fragrance rising up to God. But this fragrance is perceived differently by those who are being saved and by those who are perishing. 16 To those who are perishing, we are a dreadful smell of death and doom. But to those who are being saved, we are a life-giving perfume. And who is adequate for such a task as this? (2 Corinthians 2:15-16 NLT)

What does the fragrance of Christ smell like?

  • Kindness
  • Love
  • Grace
  • Mercy
  • Forgiveness
  • Patience
  • Instruction
  • Encouragement

This could become a really long list. I think the fragrance of Christ in/on me should attract others to Him.  I think my family, my church, my workplace, my community & everyone who meets me should notice the fragrance of Christ in and on me!

Pressing On!

Dwayne
