Love, Obey & Serve

I walked with the Lord for several years and I still need to be reminded of these three commands. The Lord God is consistent throughout scripture about His values. He is so patient as we figure this out. He doesn’t give us what we deserve for sure. His Grace is crazy, and His love is hard to wrap my head around.

The people of Israel, His chosen people were quite stubborn as am I. The Lord led them and forgave them anyway. Moses is giving his farewell address to the people as he will not be going into the promised land. Check this out….

12 “And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you? He requires only that you fear the Lord your God, and live in a way that pleases him, and love him and serve him with all your heart and soul. 13 And you must always obey the Lord’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good.

14 “Look, the highest heavens and the earth and everything in it all belong to the Lord your God. (Deuteronomy 10:12-14 NLT)

My love for God calls for my obedience.

My obedience calls for my service.

My service calls for my love for God.

I want to live each day is simple obedience in the little things and the big things.

I want to serve others from that simple obedience and love.

The Lord’s love for me is like a magnet drawing me to Him. The more I see of Him, the more I want to honor Him with my obedience, service and love.  It’s sounds so simple, but it’s not always easy.  I show my love for God in my obedience and service. Talk is cheap, but actions declare what I really believe. I want the activities of my life to speak clearly of my love for God.

Pressing On!

Dwayne
