Everyone

Woman shows Access cardEveryone is a word that doesn’t include exceptions. I will sometimes see a word like that and there will be “*” which means there are exceptions. I can’t think of one single exception when I think of God’s love for our world. He doesn’t want anyone (no exceptions) to go to eternal death. He wants everyone to be saved. Paul addresses this in his opening chapter to the Colossae church. Check this out…

19 For God in all his fullness
was pleased to live in Christ,
20 and through him God reconciled
    everything to himself.
He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth
by means of Christ’s blood on the cross.

21 This includes you who were once far away from God. You were his enemies, separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions. 22 Yet now he has reconciled you to himself through the death of Christ in his physical body. As a result, he has brought you into his own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault. (Colossians 1:19-22 NLT)

His love is unbelievable.

His love is indescribable.

His love is unconditional.

His love is big.

His love in inclusive.

This is not rocket science or chemistry – it is really simple. God’s love is about trust. He created us and built us to trust in Him. It starts with turning to Him in surrender. If you have bad habits when you surrender to the Lord, it may take a minute to break them – just keep pursuing Him. I was once far away from the Lord, but His patience is appealing and inviting. I have never been loved like He loves. I have never felt like He makes me feel. It is really simple to believe and trust in the Lord, but it’s not always easy in the middle of suffering or pain. I met a guy yesterday who was injured in an automobile crash several years ago and was out of work for 2 years recovering physically but lost everything he owned. He cried out to God for help and the Lord provided help, direction and healing. I don’t want this to sound super mystical, because the Lord uses ordinary people to accomplish His mission.

The Lord extends His invitation to everyone. We all can have access to the Lord. Since I’ve known the Lord, I simply want to know Him on a deeper level. I am blown away by His patience with me. He is relentless in His pursuit of my heart. He pursues everyone, but not everyone surrenders and invites Him into their heart. I wish I could better explain how blessed my life is since trusting Him.  I’m forgiven. My heart is healed from the disease of sin. I am a work in progress for sure. If you’re reading this and you don’t know Him – talk to Him. He is a prayer away and He wants a relationship with you. He will direct your path. His Word is true – He is full of Grace & Mercy.

Pressing On!
