Wise Builder

I enjoy building things and watching them function for what they were built. I also enjoy repairing things that are broken. I am blessed to work with a builder who builds homes and helps fulfill dreams of people who dream of living in them.  I get to see firsthand the sequence of events that take place to build a home from the foundation to the finished product. There is lots of labor and lots of systems that must be designed and installed properly for the house to function properly.

I don’t think I realized that Solomon was such a builder. He not only built the Temple and his palace, but he built up other towns. Check this out…..

1It took Solomon twenty years to build the Lord’s Temple and his own royal palace. At the end of that time, Solomon turned his attention to rebuilding the towns that King Hiram had given him, and he settled Israelites in them.

Solomon also fought against the town of Hamath-zobah and conquered it. He rebuilt Tadmor in the wilderness and built towns in the region of Hamath as supply centers. He fortified the towns of Upper Beth-horon and Lower Beth-horon, rebuilding their walls and installing barred gates. He also rebuilt Baalath and other supply centers and constructed towns where his chariots and horses could be stationed. He built everything he desired in Jerusalem and Lebanon and throughout his entire realm. (2 Chronicles 8:1-6 NLT)

I want to build my life upon the foundation of God’s Word.

I want to build my family upon the foundation of God’s Word and the Truth contained there.

I want to build my business upon the values that are clearly outlined in God’s Word and that includes serving and treating others with genuine respect and care.

I want to continue to be a helper to the ULTIMATE BUILDER of people. I want my life to influence and impact the lives of others. I mainly want them to notice the SOURCE of any success I may experience.

Building takes time.

Building takes planning.

Building takes a lot of work.

Building requires help occasionally from others.

Building takes great discipline.

I’m thankful for the experiences of my life that have built me even though they were painful at the time. I know that the Lord is still shaping and molding my heart for more.

Pressing On!

Dwayne
