Unequaled
I have walked with the Lord a long time. It is sometimes easy to take His Presence or His Power for granted. He never leaves me. He is consistent and faithful – something I still have to work on. He never fails or makes a mistake. He is always on time. There is no one else like Him. He is not like other gods. His characteristics and attributes are so incredible that other gods should never be compared to Jehovah God of scripture.
I came across a very familiar passage this morning as I finished up my journey through Psalms. A word jumped off the page and reminded me of why I worship the Lord. I was reminded why I trust Him and why I serve Him. Check this out….
1 Praise the Lord!
Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heaven!
2 Praise him for his mighty works;
praise his unequaled greatness!
3 Praise him with a blast of the ram’s horn;
praise him with the lyre and harp!
4 Praise him with the tambourine and dancing;
praise him with strings and flutes!
5 Praise him with a clash of cymbals;
praise him with loud clanging cymbals.
6 Let everything that breathes sing praises to the Lord!

He is worthy of my praise because of His unequaled greatness!
He is worthy of my gratitude because of His unequaled greatness!
He is worthy of my worship because of His unequaled greatness!
He is worthy of my trust because of His unequaled greatness!
He is worthy of my heart because of His unequaled greatness!
He is worthy of my faith because of His unequaled greatness!
He is worthy of my commitment because of His unequaled greatness!
He is worthy of my time because of His unequaled greatness!
He is worthy of my total surrender because of His unequaled greatness!
I enjoy spending time with Him each morning. He sets up my day when I’m with Him. He gives me calm in chaos. He gives me understanding and insight that I couldn’t have received anywhere else. He has grown me and is still investing in me daily as I trust Him. I love playing guitar and singing songs that honor the Lord. I love it when our church gathers to declare His unequaled greatness. I can also declare His unequaled greatness with how I live and the choices I make today.
