Stuffy Nose

PrintMost mornings I wake up with a stuffy nose. I have chronic allergy issues and my excellent ENT Doc has me on some preventative medicine that helps a bunch. However, most mornings I start the day a bit stuffy. Breathing with a stuffy nose it not super easy. Snoring comes when the airway is obstructed and the respiratory structures vibrate. Breathing is a necessary part of my every day existence. If I can’t breathe I will die. If I can’t breathe well, I don’t usually feel well.

This morning as I read this Psalm, I was reminded that breathing in the grace of God and breathing out praise for Him is a necessary part of my every day walk with the Lord. Check this out…

1 Praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord, you his servants;

    praise the name of the Lord.
2 Let the name of the Lord be praised,

    both now and forevermore.
3 From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets,

    the name of the Lord is to be praised.
4 The Lord is exalted over all the nations,

    his glory above the heavens.
5 Who is like the Lord our God,

   the One who sits enthroned on high,
6 who stoops down to look

    on the heavens and the earth?
7 He raises the poor from the dust

    and lifts the needy from the ash heap;
8 he seats them with princes,

    with the princes of his people.
9 He settles the childless woman in her home

    as a happy mother of children.
Praise the Lord. (Psalm 113:1-9 NIV)

I was reminded that breathing happens from the rising of the sun to it’s going down and then all through the night. I really believe that the Lord loves my praise, honor and respect for Him at all times. When I examine Him closer through His Word, I can’t help but praise and honor Him more. He is Who He says He is. He built me to love Him and praise Him. I don’t want my praise of Him to be stuffy or obstructed in any way. I want clear passage ways from my heart to His!

I am more in tune with my human structure and design when I worship and praise the Creator Who built me for this.

“From the rising of the sun
to the going down of the same
The Name of the Lord is to be praised”

Pressing On!
