Source

“A place, person or thing from which something comes or can be obtained”. Everything I can see, touch, or smell comes from a Source. I believe that God created everything, therefore He is the Source of everything. I believe that bad things have a source as well as good things. The Lord created good, and we have figured out a way to make some of His good things bad.

I see so many good things that real people have made or built, but all the resources they used can be traced back to something (Source) that God made. I don’t believe that we can make something from nothing – only God can do that.

I was reading through Ezekiel this morning and he writes the funeral song, but I was moved by the value of the Source of life and how I need to stay connected. Check this out…

¹⁰ “Your mother was like a vine
    planted by the water’s edge.
It had lush, green foliage
    because of the abundant water.
¹¹ Its branches became strong—
    strong enough to be a ruler’s scepter.
It grew very tall,
    towering above all others.
It stood out because of its height
    and its many lush branches. (Ezekiel 19:10-11 NLT)

Electric appliances only work when they are connected to the source of power.

Water is a resource that keeps plants and vegetation alive.

I want to stay connected to the Source of Life – Creator God. He built me and wired me for continued connectivity to Him. He put His Spirit in me when I surrendered my heart to Him. He is the Source of anything good that comes from me, through me or is in me. Connection to Him is key.

The Lord is my Source of Peace.

The Lord is my Source of Hope.

The Lord is my Source of Wisdom.

The Lord is my Source of Counsel.

The Lord is my Source of Love.

The Lord is my Source of Forgiveness.

The Lord is my Source of EVERYTHING!
