Search & Seek

I love the search bar on my computer and all my devices. These tools are super helpful in looking for something specific. I’m super thankful for the technology that I have at my fingertips. The other day I was reading a magazine (a paper one!) and found myself wanting to reverse pinch to make the text bigger! (Another sign that I’m getting old!)

This morning I came across a Psalm that reminded me to search and seek the Lord. The Psalmist gave a quick history lesson of how the Lord has led His people, directed His people and protected His people. I love the simple reminder to never stop searching and seeking. Check this out….

Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness.
    Let the whole world know what he has done.
Sing to him; yes, sing his praises.
    Tell everyone about his wonderful deeds.
Exult in his holy name;
    rejoice, you who worship the Lord.
Search for the Lord and for his strength;
    continually seek him. (Psalm 105:1-4 NLT)

It is really healthy for me to reflect every now and then and notice the amazing things that the Lord does for me. Sometimes the stuff He does isn’t obvious to anyone but me. Sometimes, He does things that everyone can see.

I enjoy singing songs to honor God. I am thankful for His Presence in my life. I’m learning that even in the face of fear and doubt, to sing to Him and talk with Him. I know that I sound simple, but I’m good with that. Obedience isn’t complex or complicated – it’s simple. Please note that I didn’t say it was easy. I want search and seek the Lord all the remainder of my days here on earth so that one day, I’ll be in His Presence forever!

Pressing On!

Dwayne
