Renew

This word means “resume after an interruption”. I think it also carries with it making things “new again”.  I renewed my subscription. I have also renewed my commitment to the Lord after a season of staleness. I have renewed relationships.

The Prophet Samuel anointed Saul as the first King of Israel and then later Saul took action to protect the people of Israel. The people were fired up and excited to have a leader. I love what Samuel did next. Check this out…

14 Then Samuel said to the people, “Come, let us all go to Gilgal to renew the kingdom.” 15 So they all went to Gilgal, and in a solemn ceremony before the Lord they made Saul king. Then they offered peace offerings to the Lord, and Saul and all the Israelites were filled with joy. (1 Samuel 11:14-15 NLT)

There are times before I make a move, I should renew my allegiance to the Lord. He is the Foundation of my life and my very existence. He created me. He sustains me.

The Lord is patient with me.

He loves it when I renew my commitment to Him.

He wants my heart because my behavior follows my heart.

I need to renew my heart for the Lord each day.

Pressing On!

Dwayne
