Project Complete

Project preparationI have been known in my past to start a project and not finish it. I have really worked at that for several years and I’ve changed that about me. There are things that are easy to start and not finish. There are something that are really hard to start. Some projects are messy in the middle and don’t seem to really get off the ground.

Some troublemakers halted the project of rebuilding the temple in Jerusalem. The priests penned a letter to King Darius and explained that his predecessor had ordered the rebuilding project. King Darius investigated and found that the exiles were indeed correct. They were given permission not only to finish but Darius put the resources in place so that could finish strong.   Check this out…

13 Then, because of the decree King Darius had sent, Tattenai, governor of Trans-Euphrates, and Shethar-Bozenai and their associates carried it out with diligence. 14 So the elders of the Jews continued to build and prosper under the preaching of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah, a descendant of Iddo. They finished building the temple according to the command of the God of Israel and the decrees of Cyrus, Darius and Artaxerxes, kings of Persia. 15 The temple was completed on the third day of the month Adar, in the sixth year of the reign of King Darius. (Ezra 6:13-15 NIV)

I love that the people served God with their whole heart while serving inside the boundaries of King Darius.

Honoring God doesn’t mean that I can’t live within the boundaries of the law of the land. There are times when the law is very troublesome and even wrong. There is also protocol to help get it changed.

I want to be on the Lord’s side. I want Him to direct my steps so that every project that I undertake will honor Him. I need wisdom and discernment from Him at all times.

Pressing On!

Dwayne
