Prayer Promise

I really try to make it a practice of praying about everything. There are times that prayer is not the first thing I think about. Prayer should be the first thing I think of IF I believe that the Lord is in control of everything. I do believe that The Lord is in charge and Present in EVERY situation I face. He wasn’t surprised like I was when something crazy happened. I don’t always understand why He doesn’t intervene when I ask Him too. I sometimes think, He should do everything I want Him to do even at the expense of others. I can be selfish and self-serving with the best of them.

I do pray very often each day. I’ve been trying to focus on prayers of gratitude first. I am really blessed in more ways than I could possibly count. I should certainly attempt to count my blessings and certainly give Him the credit due Him.

Isaiah records a message from God to His people. He reminds them of His Presence and His Power to provide for them. It helped remind me of just how much He helps and provides for me. Check this out…

24 I will answer them before they even call to me.
While they are still talking about their needs,
I will go ahead and answer their prayers! (Isaiah 65:24 NLT)

The Lord ALWAYS hears my prayers.

The Lord ALWAYS answers my prayers. (Not always the way I want Him too.)

The Lord is ALWAYS present with me.

The Lord ALWAYS provides my needs. (He clearly knows what I need MORE than I do.)

My prayers are sometimes answered before I even know that I need to pray. My prayer are sometimes more about me being dependent upon the Lord than about the answer He gives. Prayer is the most important component of my relationship with the Lord. Prayer cultivates my awareness of Him dwelling in my heart. Prayer reminds me that He is in charge. Prayers reminds me to surrender to His will in everything. Prayer is the least and the most I can do in any situation that I face. Prayer can encourage, build and strengthen my faith profoundly.

Pressing On!
