Plow Up My Heart

I love the springtime when the gardens are freshly plowed and ready to plant.  Please don’t misunderstand, I don’t enjoy the process of plowing, preparing, planting or even harvesting. I love to eat the food that comes because of these steps in the process. The Lord is the One who make things grow. He builds me. I must submit to Him in the process.

In Hosea, the Lord is rebuking His people because they have sinned repeatedly. They simply don’t respect God’s authority in their lives. He addresses this dilemma.  Check this out….

12 I said, ‘Plant the good seeds of righteousness,
and you will harvest a crop of love.
Plow up the hard ground of your hearts,
for now is the time to seek the Lord,
that he may come
and shower righteousness upon you.’ (Hosea 10:12 NLT)

The Lord can disrupt my routines.

The Lord vet my relationships.

The Lord can work through me to reveal Himself.

The Lord can do whatever He wants with or without me.

I love this song that was recorded by David Crowder – “Here’s My Heart”

Here’s my heart LordSpeak what is true

I am found, I am YoursI am loved, I’m made pureI have life, I can breatheI am healed, I am free

‘Cause I am found, I am YoursI am loved, I’m made pureI have life, I can breatheI am healed, I am free

‘Cause You are strong, You are sureYou are life, You endureYou are good, always trueYou are life breaking through

‘Cause You are more than enoughYou are here, You are loveYou are hope, You are graceYou’re all I have, You’re everything

Here’s my heart LordSpeak what is true
