Pleased
I always enjoyed making my parents proud of me. I loved to see them smile with pride over one of my accomplishments. I think a child longs for the pride of his or her parents. I know as a parent, I’m so thankful for my children and it makes me smile inside and out when I see them committed to following the Lord with their life. I’m not really focused on their career path or how much money they make or how much management power they have in their job. I’m super pleased to know that they are following the Lord and seeking His heart.
King David finds his security in following the Lord. He knows that there are people who hate him and want to take him out, but he simply keeps trusting in the Lord for protection and provision. Check this out….
11 I know you are pleased with me,
for you have not let my enemies triumph over me.
12 You have preserved my life because I am innocent;
you have brought me into your presence forever.
13 Praise the Lord, the God of Israel,
who lives from everlasting to everlasting.
Amen and amen!(Psalm 41:11-13 NLT)
It is my goal to make the Lord pleased with me. I want Him to pull my picture out of His wallet and show it off. I keep navigating my way through the landmines of life seeking to honor Him with every choice I make today. I can’t change my past and how I got here, but I can change where I go from here by the choices I make starting today. I want to know Him more and make Him known by how I love, live and work. By loving, living and working for Him, I’m giving Him my worship and I’m not even singing a song. I want Him to smile over me and my hearts devotion to Him.
Pressing On!
