Mystery of God

There are things that happen the same way every time in life and there are things that are mysterious and unpredictable. For example, if I toss a ball into the air, it will come down every time. There are many examples like this. Then there are things that are mysterious and unpredictable. The wind is blowing pretty steady at my house this morning and I can hear the wind chimes making music because of it. Wind is a mystery to me. I can’t see it, but I can see the effects of it and I can feel it. The very Spirit of God is like the wind; it’s everywhere and I can feel it and see the effects of it, but it’s still a mystery of sorts.

King Solomon declares everything is meaning except God and His promises and His Presence. He speaks a bit to this mystery. Check this out….

Just as you cannot understand the path of the wind or the mystery of a tiny baby growing in its mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the activity of God, who does all things.

Young people, it’s wonderful to be young! Enjoy every minute of it. Do everything you want to do; take it all in. But remember that you must give an account to God for everything you do. 10 So refuse to worry and keep your body healthy. But remember that youth, with a whole life before you, is meaningless. (Ecclesiastes 11:5,9-10 NLT)

I am created by God for God. My life in infused with His breath. I have surrendered my life back to Him and I have the very Spirit of God flowing through me. It’s a bit of a mystery, but I can feel His Presence and I see the effects of His Presence in me. I want my life to bring glory to Him.  I am so very grateful for His Grace that forgives and forgets some of the stupid things that I’ve done that are embarrassing to me and hurtful to Him. He patiently welcomes me back when I’ve wandered away. I can’t comprehend or understand this depth of love and forgiveness. It is a mystery, but I’m thankful that He is with me. I’m thankful that He is for me. I’m thankful that He has my picture on the wallpaper of His phone!

I am loved.

I am accepted.

I am forgiven.

I am saved.

I am protected.

His Presence in me is a mystery that I can’t explain, but I know it’s true from personal experience and promises in His Word.

Pressing On!

Dwayne
