My Plan & Your Plan

I had a plan for my life, but some things changed, and it looks like it does now. I’ve learned that the things that shock me or surprise me didn’t surprise the Lord. He knows what I need. He knows what is best. He knows the twists and turns that are ahead on my journey. I need to listen carefully to Him as He unfolds His plan for me. I have been known to tell Him my plans and invite Him into my plans. He really invites me into His plans. Someone once said, “If you want hear God laugh, tell Him your plans”.

The Lord had promised Abram that he would be blessed with many descendants, but Sarai, Abram’s wife took matters into her hands and things took a turn. Check this out….

1Now Sarai, Abram’s wife, had not been able to bear children for him. But she had an Egyptian servant named Hagar. So Sarai said to Abram, “The Lord has prevented me from having children. Go and sleep with my servant. Perhaps I can have children through her.” And Abram agreed with Sarai’s proposal. So Sarai, Abram’s wife, took Hagar the Egyptian servant and gave her to Abram as a wife. (This happened ten years after Abram had settled in the land of Canaan.) (Genesis 16:1-3 NLT)

My plans should always be made inside His plans.

I want to listen as He guides, prompt and leads me in His will.

I am thankful for His grace when I let my plans make a mess of things. My plans often make a mess of my life and He is so patient as I learn to trust His Plan.

Goodness of Godby Jenn Johnson – Bethel

I love You, Lord
For Your mercy never failed me
All my days, I’ve been held in Your hands
From the moment that I wake up
Until I lay my head
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God

And all my life You have been faithful
And all my life You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God

I love Your voice
You have led me through the fire
And in darkest night You are close like no other
I’ve known You as a Father
I’ve known You as a Friend
And I have lived in the goodness of God, yeah!

And all my life You have been faithful,
And all my life You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God, yeah!

Your goodness is running after, it’s running after me
Your goodness is running after, it’s running after me
With my life laid down, I’m surrendered now
I give You everything
Your goodness is running after, it’s running after me
