My Highest Aim
Sometimes as the years go by so fast, I reflect on my life and evaluate my journey thus far. A bunch of my life is in the rear-view mirror. There are some things I would do differently but for the most part it’s been a good ride. There has been pain and struggle along the way, but that has made me sharper and more grateful for the joy that comes in the morning after suffering. I have learned that through it all – the Lord is faithful and present. I can’t imagine going through the suffering in my life without Him. As I read one of my favorite Psalms this morning, I was reminded that my highest aim is the live for Him and bring honor to Him. Check this out…
1 Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
2 Worship the Lord with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.
3 Know that the Lord is God.
It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.
5 For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations. (Psalm 100:1-5 NIV)
Gladness
Joyful Songs
He is God
His people
His sheep
Thanksgiving
Praise
Love endures forever
Faithfulness continues
