My God Is Greater
“Our God is greater. Our God is stronger. God is higher than any other. Our God is healer. Our God is awesome in power.” (“Our God” written by Matt Redman, Chris Tomlin, Jesse Reeves, Jonas Myrin) There is no one like Jehovah God. He is the Creator of all that I see and know. During times of uncertainty, I’m still certain of that. When I’m suffering and hurting, I don’t always “feel God’s Presence”, but I’m going to “go with what I know until my feelings catch up”.
The Ark of the Covenant has been captured by the Philistines and carried to their country. The Lord showed them and everyone else that He is God above all. Check this out….
1After the Philistines captured the Ark of God, they took it from the battleground at Ebenezer to the town of Ashdod. 2 They carried the Ark of God into the temple of Dagon and placed it beside an idol of Dagon. 3 But when the citizens of Ashdod went to see it the next morning, Dagon had fallen with his face to the ground in front of the Ark of the Lord! So they took Dagon and put him in his place again. 4 But the next morning the same thing happened—Dagon had fallen face down before the Ark of the Lord again. This time his head and hands had broken off and were lying in the doorway. Only the trunk of his body was left intact. (1 Samuel 5:1-4 NLT)
I’m reminded of His Power in the midst of ANYTHING I will face in this life. I have been scared and hurt, but the Lord wasn’t caught off guard. His Presence in my life has been a game changer for years. There is no Rock like God. He is my Firm Foundation. He is my closest Friend. He is my Confidant. His strength is beyond measuring. I will continue to lean in to what I KNOW about Him and His Word that speaks to me all the time. Check this out….
