Last Laugh

I have had to “eat crow” before. When I thought I was right only to find out I was wrong about a situation or a prediction. I have learned to exercise caution for the most part when I don’t have all the needed information. I have had debates (discussions or arguments) with another and then learn that my position was wrong. I was operating off a false assumption or flawed information. Humble pie is the pastry that’s never tasty. I’ve had my share of moments eating humble pie.

I am confident in my faith, but I also know there are times when my faith is weak. I don’t boast or brag about what I can do. I am confident that the Lord can do anything. When Jesus heals the religious leader’s daughter there were many skeptics. Check this out….

23 When Jesus arrived at the official’s home, he saw the noisy crowd and heard the funeral music. 24 “Get out!” he told them. “The girl isn’t dead; she’s only asleep.” But the crowd laughed at him25 After the crowd was put outside, however, Jesus went in and took the girl by the hand, and she stood up! 26 The report of this miracle swept through the entire countryside. (Matthew 9:23-26 NLT)

God can do anything but fail.

He never fails or makes a mistake.

He loves deeply. He forgives completely.

I don’t always understand why He doesn’t answer all the prayers that I pray. I do believe He hears every prayer. I’m still growing and learning to trust Him with my prayers and petitions. I’m learning that worry is useless.

I also believe in eternal life. I’ve never seen it or witnessed. God said He is giving eternal life to those who believe in His Son. I completely trust Him with my life and what happens when I breathe my last breath.  I’m going to believe in Him even if I’m laughed at or made fun of. I believe in the end; I’ll have the last laugh. I must confess that I’m often saddened by those who choose not to believe in Him. It takes more work to not believe in Him as I see His handywork all around me and His fingerprints are all over my life.

Pressing On!

Dwayne
