Know
There are lots of things that I don’t know. There are also things I know for sure. Sometimes there are things I know because someone else told me. There are still other times when the Word of God tells me things that I now know.
I know Who created the heavens and the earth. He spoke it into existence. I don’t know what physical attributes that God has. I tend to think He has hands, feet, a physical body much like humans, but I really don’t know. I do know of His love for me and for His creation. He loves when it’s illogical to love. He forgives. He heals. He saves. These are things that I know He does. I don’t know how He does these things; I just know He does them.
When Jesus first began His ministry, he was eating dinner at Levi’s house. The dinner guests were “tax collectors and other disreputable sinners”. The teachers of the law were a bit put out that Jesus would hang out with these types of people. They asked Jesus’ disciples, “Why does He eat with such scum?” Check out His answer….
17 When Jesus heard this, he told them, “Healthy people don’t need a doctor—sick people do. I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners.” (Mark 2:17 NLT)
I know I’m a sinner saved by His Grace.
I don’t know how someone could think they deserve the Grace He gives.
I’m so thankful that the Lord will use someone like me who still fails miserably in His work.
I’m so grateful for grace. I’m so grateful for His mercy.
He restores my soul. He forgives my sin. I need Jesus every day in every area of my life. He directs my life. He sustains my life. He gives peace to me during chaos and worry. He is the Anchor of my soul. I know I need Him. I know of His healing in my heart. I’m so grateful that He came to help me and others like me who are sinners too.
Pressing On!
