Keep On!

I have been ready to quit on many occasions. It takes a deep resolve to finish some projects or events. There are times when I’m so very close to the finish line and if I quit, I will have wasted a ton of energy but still come of short of my goal.

I’ve learned over the years the power of making up my mind. I’m still growing in this, but “dog-ed determination” can help me push through the temptation to quit or stop.

I came across a short teaching on prayer from Jesus’ sermon in Matthew. I was inspired by two words… Keep On. Check this out…

⁷ “Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. ⁸ For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened. (Matthew 7:7-8 NLT)

There is great reward when I “Keep On”.

I can finish.

I can grow.

I can learn.

I can love.

I can serve.

Jesus was referring to prayer. I have set reminders on my phone so that I don’t miss important things. Prayer is one of those things that I don’t ever want to get too busy for. Jesus taught me to pray with persistence. I want to grow in my prayer life and habit.
