Imitate
An imitation is a reproduction of the real thing in lots of ways. Imitation is also called the highest form of flattery. If I’m imitating bad behavior, I’m hurting the Lord’s heart and I’m often hurting myself. If I’m imitating good behavior, it can become part of a positive routine that helps me grow.

I think it’s a good thing to imitate people who are living right and honoring the Lord with their life. If I want to keep growing in my faith, I think it’s healthy to imitate some of the activities of other spiritual giants. The Apostle Paul encouraged positive imitating. Check this out…

I have my marching orders – imitate Jesus.
I can love as He loved.
I can live as He lived.
I can forgive as He forgives.
I can serve as He serves.
Imitating Christ honors the Father. He was well-pleased with His Son. I want Him to be well-pleased with me as I imitate the Son of God.
