Ignore

Teenage girl in trouble with parentsI have had people intentionally disregard me. They refuse to acknowledge or take notice of me. It can hurt my feelings. I have learned that when people act this way, I can’t give too much influence on me and let their attitude and actions “derail” me from moving forward.

There was a change at the top for Judah and a new king was appointed. He did not start off properly before the Lord. Check this out…

1 Zedekiah son of Josiah was made king of Judah by Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; he reigned in place of Jehoiachin son of Jehoiakim. 2 Neither he nor his attendants nor the people of the land paid any attention to the words the Lord had spoken through Jeremiah the prophet. (Jeremiah 37:1-2 NIV)

If I’m going to ignore anyone it needs to be the voices of those pulling me away from God’s plan for me. Sometimes the voice of opposition to the Lord is so loud that I can’t hear His whisper. I need to ignore some of the noise of our culture and seek to hear from the Lord as He speaks direction into my life.

I want to pay close attention to the words of the Lord as He speaks into my life every day. I want to notice the things in my life that need changed. I want to ignore some of the noise of the world I live in so that I can hear Him more clearly.

Pressing On!

Dwayne
