Humble

If pride is the root of all sin, the humility is the antidote. It is not always to see and notice pride in others or even in me. I often see it in others but ignore that fact that pride is a cancer inside my soul. I must check my heart often to call it out. I often need the Lord’s help in catching it.

The Lord sent Hosea to call out the pride in Israel. Their behavior was despicable and deplorable. Hosea spoke directly. At one point, he calls out their arrogance and pride. Check this out….

10 Their arrogance testifies against them,
yet they don’t return to the Lord their God
or even try to find him. (Hosea 7:10 NLT)

I want to be known for being humble, hungry, and smart. I want to consistently encourage, motivate, and inspire others to see the greatness of God in the humble, but powerful character of Jesus.

He can work through me when I’m humble.

He can work through me when I’m teachable.

It’s a paradox when people brag about being humble. If I must tell people that I’m humble, then I’m likely proud that I’m humble.  I am nothing without the Lord. With Him, I have confidence to walk in His Way.

Pressing On!

Dwayne
