Healing & Hope

I’ve seen people get well. I’ve seen cancer eradicated. I’ve seen broken limbs restored to work normal again. I’ve seen people die from sickness while praying for healing. I don’t always understand God’s plan or His position on healing. I pray for every sick person I’m aware of, and I want God to bring healing and hope to them. He sometimes does that through death. I do struggle with this. I wonder what it would be like if we all knew the last day of our life here on earth.  I suspect we’d live quite differently the last several days leading up to our last day here on earth.

When Jesus walked the earth, He brought healing and hope everywhere He went. I came across three verses in Matthew this morning that said a ton about what His day looked like.  Check this out…

29 Jesus returned to the Sea of Galilee and climbed a hill and sat down. 30 A vast crowd brought to him people who were lame, blind, crippled, those who couldn’t speak, and many others. They laid them before Jesus, and he healed them all. 31 The crowd was amazed! Those who hadn’t been able to speak were talking, the crippled were made well, the lame were walking, and the blind could see again! And they praised the God of Israel. (Matthew 15:29-31 NLT)

I’ve never seen a lame man walk normal instantly.

I’ve never seen a blind man see instantly.

I’ve never seen healing and hope on this level. I do believe it happened. I do believe God is able to do these things today.  I’ve seen lives radically changed instantly. I’ve seen Hope enter a room and everything is flipped upside down.

I will keep praying for healing from the God Who Heals.

I will keep praying for hope from the Source of All Hope!

The Lord will heal in His Time and in His Way. I trust Him completely on timing and type of healing. There are some things that I may never understand until I see Him face to face.

Pressing On!

Dwayne
