Healed

I could tell many stories of physical healing for sure. From small cuts to broken bones, healing was needed, and healing took place. Our bodies are created in such a way that they heal themselves – sort of.  I am a believer in Creator God. I believe that He is the Healer for sure.

I have heard stories of physical healing that seems impossible. I do struggle to believe in some of the “healing moments”.  I wonder what it would have been like to see a cripple man’s legs become straight right on the spot. I wonder what it would be like to see a grown man, born blind, see for the very first time – healed by Jesus.

I came across the story of Bartimaeus where Jesus healed him then and there. Check this out….

46 Then they reached Jericho, and as Jesus and his disciples left town, a large crowd followed him. A blind beggar named Bartimaeus (son of Timaeus) was sitting beside the road. 47 When Bartimaeus heard that Jesus of Nazareth was nearby, he began to shout, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”

51 “What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked.

“My Rabbi,” the blind man said, “I want to see!”

52 And Jesus said to him, “Go, for your faith has healed you.” Instantly the man could see, and he followed Jesus down the road. (Mark 10:46-47,51-52 NLT)

I love that Jesus asked Bart what he wanted.

I love that Jesus explained that it was faith that brought healing.

I love that the healing was instant.

I love that Jesus told Bart to go, that his faith had healed him and instead he followed Jesus down the road.

I am following Jesus today because of the healing He’s done in my heart.

I am following Jesus today because He rescued me from a life of destruction.

I am following Jesus today because of His amazing and unbelievable love for me.

I do believe the healing that the Lord does in my heart is on-going for the rest of my life.

Pressing On!

Dwayne
