God Will Make A Way

I am thankful for creative thinking and creative ideas. I love observing people who are creative. I try hard to be creative and I think I am to a certain level. There are those who just blow right past me in the creative department for sure.

I was reading about David and his estranged relationship with Absalom. David had banished Absalom because of his murderous plot against Amnon, one of David’s other sons. Joab, the leader of the army saw the king’s grief for his son and devised a plan to get David to bring Absalom home. Joab reached out to this woman from Takoa, who “had a great reputation for wisdom”. Joab coached her and told her what to say to King David. As she was speaking to the king, she calls him out. In her made-up story, the King has the proper response to her, but in real life with Absalom, his heart was hard. The woman talks about God in a powerful way in pushing back on King David. Check this out….

14 All of us must die eventually. Our lives are like water spilled out on the ground, which cannot be gathered up again. But God does not just sweep life away; instead, he devises ways to bring us back when we have been separated from him. (2 Samuel 14:14 NLT)

This reminded me of a song that has blessed my heart for years.

God Will Make A Way  by Don Moen

Oh, God will make a way
Where there seems to be no way
He works in ways we cannot see
He will make a way for me

He will be my guide
Hold me closely to His side
With love and strength for each new day
He will make a way, He will make a way

The Lord has worked in my life and through my life in ways that I never dreamed of. He has been with me through suffering and struggle and He still speaks and works in my heart. I will often see no way out and then the Lord, Who is Creative, He makes a way that I had not thought of.

Pressing On!

Dwayne
