Gifted

There are gifts that the Lord gave me that I can’t explain, but I’m so thankful for. I have been able to “hear” music for as long as I can remember. I can hear when something is out of tune, I can play a song just by hearing it. I didn’t know until I was in college that I was gifted in this way. I went to college with a young lady who had perfect pitch. She could hear a note and tell you what it was on the music scale.

I was reading in Exodus this morning about a gifted person and it’s obvious that God gifted Him and wants him to use his gifts for the Lord. Check this out…

1Then the Lord said to Moses, “Look, I have specifically chosen Bezalel son of Uri, grandson of Hur, of the tribe of Judah. I have filled him with the Spirit of God, giving him great wisdom, ability, and expertise in all kinds of crafts. He is a master craftsman, expert in working with gold, silver, and bronze. He is skilled in engraving and mounting gemstones and in carving wood. He is a master at every craft! (Exodus 31:1-5 NLT)

I love that God not only gifted Bezalel in craftsmanship, but also gifted him with the Spirit of God and great wisdom.

I believe all gifts come from God. He is Giver of Givers.

Any gifts or talents I have, God gets the credit. He gave me my mind. He gives me discernment. He gives me wisdom beyond what I should have.

I am humbled by the gifts that the Lord has gifted me with over the years. I’m thankful for the people He’s put in my path. I’m thankful for the gift of my family. I’m thankful for the gift of deep friendship. He is an Amazing Giver of Gifts!

Pressing On!
