Forever
When I think of this word, it’s hard to describe the concept of forever. Everything I see and touch is temporary. Everything on this earth is temporary except our soul. I have a hard time with this concept.
When I think of the Lord, it’s hard for me to fathom His Power. It’s hard for me to describe what I think He would physically look like. He is indescribable – my words simple fail. The Psalmist made a statement that is hard to wrap my head around, but I can rest in it today. Check this out….
1 Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good. His love endures forever. 23 He remembered us in our low estate His love endures forever. 24 and freed us from our enemies. His love endures forever. 25 He gives food to every creature. His love endures forever. 26 Give thanks to the God of heaven. His love endures forever. (Psalm 136:1;23-26 NIV)
The Love of God is amazing to think of. When the term forever is combined with it – it is catapulted into a whole new dimension. I am so thankful that the Lord loves me without limit. He loves me in spite of the stupid things I’ve done or said. He pursues with His indescribable love.
I don’t understand the concept of forever, but I’m resting in the fact that He will be there and His Love will continue on and on!
