Favor From God

MoreI’ve asked someone to do me a favor. It is usually something rather small to ask. In this situation it is an act of kindness that I would show or do for a friend. My children can ask me for a favor and if there is anyway I can do it, I certainly will serve them. This same word can mean “an attitude of approval or liking”. I think it’s very appropriate to ask God for favor every day. Check this out…

1 Lord, you have been our dwelling place

    throughout all generations.
2 Before the mountains were born

or you brought forth the whole world,

from everlasting to everlasting you are God.
4 A thousand years in your sight

are like a day that has just gone by,

or like a watch in the night.
12 Teach us to number our days,

that we may gain a heart of wisdom.
13 Relent, Lord! How long will it be?

    Have compassion on your servants.
14 Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love,

that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.
17 May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us;

establish the work of our hands for us—

yes, establish the work of our hands. (Psalm 90:1-4;12-14, 17 NIV)

I want the favor of God over my life above everything else or anyone else. When His favor rests upon me, I feel complete and blessed beyond words. I often pray for the Lord’s favor on my life, my family, my business. I do believe that the Lord loves it when we pray.

I’m asking for God’s favor upon my life today. I want His blessing over me. I want to know the direction He thinks best. I want His provision over my family and me. The favor of God on me changes my view of my situation as well as my situation!

Pressing On!
Dwayne
