Faithful

There are times it’s hard to be faithful. I get tired and weary. I get lazy. I get self-centered. It’s during these times that I struggle with being faithful. When I read God’s Word, I realize the tremendous value in simply being faithful.

I want to be faithful to the Lord.

I want to be faithful to my wife.

I want to be faithful to my children and extended family.

I want to be faithful to my friends.

I want to be faithful to my work.

I want to be faithful to my community.

I think faithfulness reveals things of my character that may never be discovered any other way. Jesus spoke about being faithful many times. Check this out…

10 “If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities. 11 And if you are untrustworthy about worldly wealth, who will trust you with the true riches of heaven? (Luke 16:10-11 NLT)

Personal wealth doesn’t create my character, it reveals it.

I want to be faithful to the Lord no matter how successful I become.

I want to be faithful to the Lord no matter how wealthy I become.

I want to be faithful to the Lord when no one sees me or notices me.

Faithfulness is a daily action of my life. I live out what I say I believe. I like to start my day in God’s Word, listening to Him speak. His Word reminds me of the deep value of simply being faithful to Him all day, every day.

Pressing On!
