Creative Variety

I love seeing the colors of fall, which should be coming soon! I love seeing the multitude of different types of animals that the Lord has made. I often marvel at the unique intricacies of all that God created. He not only created systems and plans. He created individual animal types. He made their body systems unique. I’ve always been pretty amazed at veterinarians. They have to know several body systems and unique characteristics of each animal type. The Lord also created natural systems to provide food, water and shelter for the various species of animal. I often wish that He had left snakes, spiders and flies off of His to-do list at creation!

The Psalmist pens an amazing piece as he describes the Creative Genius of God.  He speaks of His handiwork in the sun, moon & stars as well as all the eco-system and how is works with animals as well as humans, who were made in His image. Check this out…

24 O Lord, what a variety of things you have made!
In wisdom you have made them all.
The earth is full of your creatures.
25 Here is the ocean, vast and wide,
teeming with life of every kind,
    both large and small.

27 They all depend on you
to give them food as they need it.
28 When you supply it, they gather it.
You open your hand to feed them,
    and they are richly satisfied.

30 When you give them your breath, life is created,
and you renew the face of the earth.

31 May the glory of the Lord continue forever!
The Lord takes pleasure in all he has made!
32 The earth trembles at his glance;
the mountains smoke at his touch.

33 I will sing to the Lord as long as I live.
I will praise my God to my last breath!
34 May all my thoughts be pleasing to him,
for I rejoice in the Lord.(Psalm 104:24-25;27-28;30-34 NLT)

Most days, I go through life without thinking of the details of creation. When I stop to ponder the creativity of God and all the different things and people He made – my mind is blown! I am amazed that He cares so deeply for His creation. My response to my mind being blown – is worship and praise. He not only is a Creative Genius, He has incredible grace and mercy in finite supply. He forgives when I step outside the boundaries He has for me. He welcomes the prodigal back home again and again.  The more I learn of God, the more He reveals His heart to me. I want to be a man who reflects the creative genius of God. I want to be different because of Him dwelling inside my heart.

Pressing On!
