Christ In Me
I really want others to see Jesus in me. I want them to notice Him by the way I live and the activities of my day. I know that I’m not perfect, but I am forgiven. His grace most definitely covers a multitude of sin.
As I’ve journeyed through a hard week bidding farewell to a dear and close friend/partner, I have simply sat at Jesus feet to hear Him speak to His disciples. I have found comfort, peace and hope in His Words. This morning I came across an in-depth prayer of Jesus for His followers. I felt like He was praying for me too. Check this out….
20 “I am praying not only for these disciples but also for all who will ever believe in me through their message. 21 I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one—as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me.
25 “O righteous Father, the world doesn’t know you, but I do; and these disciples know you sent me. 26 I have revealed you to them, and I will continue to do so. Then your love for me will be in them, and I will be in them.” (John 17:20-21,25-26 NLT)
The more I know Jesus, the more hope is instilled in my heart.
The more I know Jesus, the more peace settles in my soul.
The more I know Jesus, the clearer my view of God becomes.
The more I know Jesus, my heart expands to love and be loved.
I’m so thankful for what Jesus did when He gave Himself up for my sins and the sins of the world. I’m grateful for His prayer for me. He prayed for the disciples who would believe because they heard about Him from the disciple’s message – that’s me.
I want to press on today with blood-shot eyes because of Christ in me.
I want to figure things out in the days to come because of Christ in me.
Pressing On!
