Choose Sides

When some friends of mine got sideways with each other, I was hearing both sides and I was expected to choose a side. I loved them both and they were both partly wrong and partly right. It wasn’t easy to navigate because I loved them both. We finally concluded that we were going to love one another despite our differences. There are times when choosing a side is appropriate. Once when a similar scenario played out, it was obvious that one of my friends had sinned against the other. I am so thankful that repentance took place and friendships were restored.

Jesus in teaching to the people following Him, made it clear that we much choose to follow Him and ONLY Him. Check this out….

30 “Anyone who isn’t with me opposes me, and anyone who isn’t working with me is actually working against me. (Matthew 12:30 NLT)

My thoughts today reflect whether or not I’m with Jesus.

My choices today reflect whether or not I’m with Jesus.

My words reflect if I’m following Him or not.

My actions scream to the world whether I’m following Him or not.

If I put in the place where I must choose Jesus or a friendship, business deal, partnership; I will choose Jesus.  I’m thankful for His patience with me as I figured this out over the years I’ve followed Him. He won’t take “2ndplace” to no one, that spot is reserved for me. I’m with Him. I believe in Him. I will follow Him the rest of my days. He promises eternal destiny!

Pressing On!
