Blessing Of God
I have noticed the blessing of God on people before. I pray for the blessing of God upon my life and my family. I believe it’s an appropriate prayer. I know that not all things that happen in my life are good, but I do believe that “all things work together for good”. I’ve learned to ask God for what I want. I’ve learned to pray and seek His will.
I’m been journeying through the prophet Ezra and came upon this part where he’s a bit autobiographical in this chapter. He mentions his heritage as a descendent of Aaron, the brother of Moses. He obviously loves the law and studies the law. He also loves the Lord and has the blessing of God upon Him. Check this out….
6 This Ezra was a scribe who was well versed in the Law of Moses, which the Lord, the God of Israel, had given to the people of Israel. He came up to Jerusalem from Babylon, and the king gave him everything he asked for, because the gracious hand of the Lord his God was on him.7 Some of the people of Israel, as well as some of the priests, Levites, singers, gatekeepers, and Temple servants, traveled up to Jerusalem with him in the seventh year of King Artaxerxes’ reign.
8 Ezra arrived in Jerusalem in August of that year. 9 He had arranged to leave Babylon on April 8, the first day of the new year, and he arrived at Jerusalem on August 4, for the gracious hand of his God was on him.10 This was because Ezra had determined to study and obey the Law of the Lord and to teach those decrees and regulations to the people of Israel.(Ezra 7:6-10 NLT)
I want “the gracious hand of God” upon me and my family for generations to generations. I want to keep studying the Word of God and seeking His heart for the rest of my life. I pray that my children follow in my steps in seeking God’s heart and His blessing upon their lives as well. I’ve been blessed by this song called “The Blessing” by Kari Jobe & Elevation Church.
The Lord bless you
And keep you
Make His face shine upon you
And be gracious to you
The Lord turn His
Face toward you
And give you peace
May His favor be upon you
And a thousand generations
Your family and your children
And their children, and their children
In the morning, in the evening
In your coming, and your going
In your weeping, and rejoicing
He is for you, He is for you
May His presence go before you
And behind you, and beside you
All around you, and within you
He is with you, He is with you
He is for you
Oh He is for you
I’m praying this song over me.
I’m praying this song over my family.
I’m praying this song over my dearest friends.
I’m praying this song over my community, the state of Georgia, this nation and the world.
Pressing On!
