Because You Obeyed

I remember as a kid getting more responsibilities from my parents once I had passed the test of obedience. They grew to trust me when I walked in obedience to them. I have learned over the years the deep value in obeying the Lord. He loves obedience.

Obedience reveals surrender.

Obedience reveals my character.

Obedience reveals my trust.

Obedience reveals my love.

The Lord loves my obedience to Him and His ways. He blessed Abraham because of his obedience. Check this out…

¹⁵ Then the angel of the Lord called again to Abraham from heaven. ¹⁶ “This is what the Lord says: Because you have obeyed me and have not withheld even your son, your only son, I swear by my own name that ¹⁷ I will certainly bless you. I will multiply your descendants beyond number, like the stars in the sky and the sand on the seashore. Your descendants will conquer the cities of their enemies. ¹⁸ And through your descendants all the nations of the earth will be blessed—all because you have obeyed me.” (Genesis 22:15-18 NLT)

I have much to learn about obedience.

I want to expand my obedience to the Lord’s call upon my life.

As I read His Word and walk with Him, He reveals more direction and instruction to me. It is my role to listen and obey.

I would love it if the legacy of my life became a blessing to others simply because I walked in obedience to the Lord.
