Work – Work – Work!
As a young kid, I learned the value of work. My parents taught me at a very young age the importance of work. We had a small farm with four or five cows most of the time. We went through one season when I was in high school, where I helped milk our cows by hand every day. My dad would milk two cows and I would milk tree. His two produced more milk than my three. There were mornings it was hard to wake up and get the day started working that early, but it taught me discipline. I was never a big fan of fresh milk and still today I don’t drink it much at all.
Work is defined as a mental or physical activity done to achieve a goal or result. Work is more than just something I get paid to do. There are times when I’m doing my “honey do” list at home, that it really is work. There are other times when I’m simply thinking about a process in my head and it really feels like work. 9 What does the worker get for his hard work? 10 I’ve seen the heavy load God has put on men. 11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also given men a sense of what he’s been doing down through the ages. But they can’t completely figure out what he’s done from the beginning to the end. 12 They should be happy and do good while they live. I know there’s nothing better for them to do than that. 13 Everyone should eat and drink. People should be satisfied with all of their hard work. That is God’s gift to them. 14 I know that everything God does will last forever. Nothing can be added to it. And nothing can be taken from it. God does that so men will have respect for him. I don’t mind hard work. In fact I like getting up early and spending time with the Lord reflecting on my day of work that lies ahead. I have people to connect with. I have decisions to be made. I have meetings that are waiting on me. I really like what I do as a REALTOR/Friend to many. I enjoy coming alongside people as they navigate the purchase or sale of real property – usually one of the largest investment they have. I want to protect my clients and customers from “gotchas” in the process and help them have a good experience. I want all of my work to honor the Lord as I serve others.
