Who Do You Know?
When I first started in real estate, an instructor taught what he called the “Who Do” method. He challenged the new agents to ask, “Who do you know that might need to purchase or sell real estate?” As I began my career, I started “who doing” people. It got the conversation started and got me to talking about my new career. The point is, we all know a lot of people. I came across a passage in Hosea that reminded me that the Lord wants to know me. Check this out…
3 Oh, that we might know the Lord!
Let us press on to know him.
He will respond to us as surely as the arrival of dawn
or the coming of rains in early spring.” (Hosea 6:3 NLT)
Over the years that I’ve walked with the Lord, I’m still learning truth about Him. He is still showing more of His heart to me as I seek Him. It’s really not complicated – I just talk a lot to Him. I listen to Him speak to me. I think there is great value in faithful seeking Him. He wants me to seek Him, and I will be found by Him. He promises His Presence to those who seek Him.
My role is seeking Him – His role is dwelling in my heart. He wants me to press on and press in to know Him. He will respond.
Pressing On!
