Truth

I believe that the Word of God is truth. I believe that God created the heavens and the earth. I believe that He created everything. I also believe He is still creating. His truth is absolute not relative. He speaks to me through His Word.

This morning I was reading through John and Jesus is prepping His disciples for when He’s no longer here. He reminds them about the Holy Spirit – the Advocate Who will comfort them and guide them. Check this out….

¹³ When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future. ¹⁴ He will bring me glory by telling you whatever he receives from me. ¹⁵ All that belongs to the Father is mine; this is why I said, ‘The Spirit will tell you whatever he receives from me.’ (John 16:13-15 NLT)

I have the Presence of God dwelling in my heart through His Holy Spirit – the Advocate. The Spirit guides me in truth. He counsels me. He guides me. He gives me insight.  I was moved by the one line…. “He will tell you about the future”.  I know that God holds my future in His hands.

I don’t have to worry about the future.

I can trust the Lord with my future.

I believe that God can give me clear direction that directly affects my future.

I’m so thankful that the Advocate can speak into my heart. I’m thankful for His nudge and His pointing me in the correct direction.  I’m thankful for His Presence as I simply read His Word. I’m thankful that the Truth of God moves and works in me.
