Trust Protection
I have often thought about how I will defend my family if our home were broken into. We have an alarm system to give early warning and I have a plan that does involve a gun. I will do whatever it takes to protect my family. I would give my life to protect them. I think it’s incredible the way the sons of Korah have written a song about trusting the Lord to protect. Check this out…
6 I put no trust in my bow, my sword does not bring me victory; 7 but you give us victory over our enemies, you put our adversaries to shame. 8 In God we make our boast all day long, and we will praise your name for ever. (Psalm 44:608 NIV)
As my kids grew older and received their driver’s license and even moved out of the house, I could no longer be their protector. They were really always under God’s protection, but I could at least help. The Lord is the Great Protector. He can protect me from a nation or any one trying to take me out. He protects me from me. I’m still learning to trust Him more each day for protection and provision.
