Salt
I know it’s a “first world” problem when I don’t have enough salt on my food. I sometimes put extra seasoning on my food without tasting first to see if it needs more. I usually assume that it doesn’t have enough for me. There are people with health issues that can’t have any salt on their food. That would be a tough assignment for sure. Salt is an important nutrient in the human body.
I came across this not so random commentary from Jesus about salt. Check this out…
50 Salt is good for seasoning. But if it loses its flavor, how do you make it salty again? You must have the qualities of salt among yourselves and live in peace with each other.” (Mark 9:50 NLT)
Salt enhances the things it touches.
Salt doesn’t draw attention to itself.
I recently heard the word “salty” when describing a person who’s being a bit course or harsh.
I want to be the salt of the earth kind of person. I want others to be blessed by knowing me or encountering me. I want Jesus in me to enhance the lives of those I know and work with. I want to bring out the flavor of others.
Pressing On!
