Sacrifice for Beauty

My family and I are on Spring Break this week and today we went to Cloudland Canyon State Park in Northern Georgia. It is a beautiful display of God’s handiwork.  We had a picnic lunch and then set off to hike to the two waterfalls. One is closer than the other, but they are both deep down in the canyon. We decided we could make it to the first one. My wife was not feeling like trying to make it to the other one, but Matthew (my 11 yr. old son) convinced us that we could do it. I thought that this might be tough before it’s over. I must say that I’ve never walked down so many steps to see some water fall over rocks, but it was beautiful!  The beauty was worth the sacrifice of travel! I recommend it, but be ready for some exercise!
