Press On!

Finish Line, Just Ahead Green Road Sign Over Dramatic Sky, Clouds and Sunburst.There are times when I want to throw in the towel and quit. I want to give up on something or someone. There are times when I must stand down. However, there are way more times when I must press on and NOT quit. Even when life gets hard and somewhat overwhelming, I must press on. The term tenacity comes to mind here. Tenacity for me means: “very determined”. I am determined to keep on keeping on in my pursuit of God’s heart. Check this out…

 10 God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them. 11 We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, so that what you hope for may be fully realized. 12 We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised. I want to be diligent and faithful in my pursuit of Him. I want my love for God to be crystal clear as I walk through this life working and serving. I believe that one day, my hope will be realized. I want to be consistent in His character. I want to be faithful serving. I want work out my salvation daily. His Amazing Grace saves me and I’m determined to show my gratitude by my life lived in honor of Him!

12 Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. 13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
