Prayer

I believe in prayer. I think that I pray a lot. I’m not sure that I pray as much as I think I do. I’ve learned that prayer needs to be formal at times and informal at times. I think prayer is good when planned and when spontaneous.

Jesus disciples followed His instructions when He ascended to heaven – He told them to go to Jerusalem and pray and wait for the gift the Father has promised. What they did next made me think we should do this too. Check this out…

14 They all met together and were constantly united in prayer, along with Mary the mother of Jesus, several other women, and the brothers of Jesus. (Acts 1:14 NLT)

What if the people close to me were “constantly united in prayer”?

What if the people I work with were “constantly united in prayer”?

What if my LIFE Group were “constantly united in prayer”?

What if my church were “constantly united in prayer”?

What if the CHURCH were “constantly united in prayer”?

Prayer is powerful. Prayer calls upon God to do big things and little things here on earth. God loves it when I prayer. Prayer reveals my dependence upon God for my very life. I would be wise to talk to Him about everything and worry about nothing.

Pressing On!
