Prayer

I’ve prayed many times for many things. I’ve prayed about small things and big things. I’ve prayed for things big and small. I’ve probably prayed the most intense prayers over my children over the years.  I believe prayer is intimate communication with my Creator, my Father/Friend…my Dad. He knows me like no one else on the planet. I talk to Him about everything.  Prayer has held me together when I feel like everything is falling apart. I read a prayer this morning that reminded me of the how significant prayer is to me. Check this out….

 1 When I was in trouble, I called to the Lord,

       and he answered me.

 2 Lord, save me from liars

       and from those who plan evil.

 3 You who plan evil, what will God do to you?

       How will he punish you?

 4 He will punish you with the sharp arrows of a warrior

       and with burning coals of wood. (Psalm 120:1-4 NCV)

 God is doing things in me that I can’t even wrap my mind around. He continues His story through me; and also my story in the midst of His.  “Above and around me God directs a grander saga, written by His hand, orchestrated by His will, unveiled according to His calendar. This concept has blessed my heart and settled my spirit. God answers my prayer. He is still in charge of my life and my world. My role is to honor Him, respect Him, obey Him….LOVE HIM!
