Powerful Spirit

I’ve seen the Holy Spirit of God move in power. I’ve seen Him change the lives of people. I’ve also seen people who pretend to have the Spirit of God. I have felt the Spirit of God settle in my heart. I have harmed the Spirit of God because of my behavior in the past. I have not seen the Spirit of the Lord move in people like it did in Samson. ⁵ As Samson and his parents were going down to Timnah, a young lion suddenly attacked Samson near the vineyards of Timnah. ⁶ At that moment the Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon him, and he ripped the lion’s jaws apart with his bare hands. He did it as easily as if it were a young goat. But he didn’t tell his father or mother about it. (Judges 14:5-6 NLT)

It’s easy to deny something or someone that you can’t see. I can’t see the wind, but I can “feel” the wind and I can see the effects of the wind. I view the Holy Spirit much the same way. I know that there are people who disagree with what I know and what I’ve felt. I will simply have to “agree to disagree” on that.

I have felt the Powerful Spirit of God with me when I needed wisdom.

I have felt the Powerful Spirit of God with me when I need His Presence.

I have felt the Powerful Spirit of God when I was simply driving my truck.

I have felt the Powerful Spirit of God when I awoke in the early morning.

I believe that the Lord’s Powerful Spirit is with me and in me wherever I go and whomever I meet. I’ve never killed a lion. I don’t claim to be like Samson. I do believe that the same Spirit of God dwells inside my heart. When Jesus came to walk this earth, He made it possible for me to have the Powerful Spirit of God in my every day, walking around life.  I’m so thankful for His Powerful Presence. He is welcomed here. He settles my soul.
