Peace With God

I’ve heard people who are at deaths door say, “they have made peace with God”. I’m not sure that is possible. God is the One Who made peace with us. As I study the heart of God, the Father, I realize that He really did EVERYTHING, and I’ve really done NOTHING for peace with Him.  Check this out….

Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us.² Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory. (Romans 5:1-2 NLT)

Jesus is the reason we have peace with God.

Jesus is the Source of peace in my heart.

Jesus is the reason I’m forgiven.

Jesus is the reason I have “undeserved privilege”.

I’m not afraid of God because I’ve felt His hand holding me.

I’m not afraid of God because I’ve been disciplined by Him.

I’m not afraid of God because I feel His Presence in me.

I’m not afraid of God because I know I’m loved by Him!

Because I have peace with God doesn’t mean that I don’t struggle with sin. Peace with God means that my sins are forgiven. Peace with God means that my life here is in His hands and my future life (eternal life) is in His hands as well.

Peace with God sets me up to be a peace with everyone else. I don’t always understand others perspective, but considering the peace I have with God, I can show extreme patience and understanding toward others.
