Obedience

This is all about compliance to Lords instructions and plans. Obedience is really pretty clear – either you do what He asks or you don’t. That verse took me back to a time in my student ministry when this song Romans 16:19 was a popular camp song. It cuts right to the bottom line of obedience. The Lord has never been shy about asking for my obedience. He’s been really clear from the beginning that His ways are good and He knows what’s best for me. I have to learn to trust Him. I obey Him and honor Him even when I can’t see where the road leads.  I believe that in my obedience –wisdom is a reward. I learn things through my simple obedience that I could not learn any other way.  God wants my simple obedience because obedience reflects the commitment of my heart to Him.
