Mountain
I love going to the mountains. Not long ago, my family along with my Mom & Dad went to Chattanooga, Tennessee to see Rock City on top of Lookout Mountain. The perspective from there is quite incredible. The park boasts that from there you can see 7 states! I’m not sure of that part, but the view from high atop Lookout Mountain was stunning! I spent a part of my life in Knoxville and Maryville, Tennessee respectively and the beautiful Smoky Mountains were nearby. There is something that is comforting about the majesty of the mountains. I remember a time when I had the opportunity to go to the Rocky Mountain National Park – the mountain views are still etched in my memory. See Pikes Peak was incredible even from a distance!
The Lord made the mountains. He spoke to Moses on the Mountain. Jesus went to the mountain to pray. Mountains have their place in my spiritual journey as well as many others. In Micah the Lord speaks about the Mountain of the Lord. Check this out…

(Micah 4:2-5 NCV)There are some incredibly memories in the mountains. The “mountain-top experiences” are often what gets me through the tough “valley experiences”. I want to go to the Mountain of the Lord on a daily basis. I want to listen to Him speak into my life. I want His direction for my path. I want His wisdom to guide me. I want His words to comfort my spirit. I want to follow the Lord, my God the rest of my days on earth!
