Love Wins
I have a sticker on the back of my suburban that says “Love Wins”. Our church preached a series years ago and it became part of the DNA of our church. It really is simple – in the end God, Who is love wins! He is in charge of our destiny. My role is to trust Him. I like how Isaiah said it too. Check this out…
6 The Lord All-Powerful will prepare a feast on this mountain for all people. It will be a feast with all the best food and wine, the finest meat and wine. 7 On this mountain God will destroy the veil that covers all nations, the veil that stretches over all peoples; 8 he will destroy death forever. The Lord God will wipe away every tear from every face. He will take away the shame of his people from the earth. The Lord has spoken. 9 At that time people will say, “Our God is doing this! We have waited for him, and he has come to save us. This is the Lord. We waited for him, so we will rejoice and be happy when he saves us.” (Isaiah 25:6-9 NCV)When the dust clears of our lives, He wins. God is powerful enough to save us from ourselves. He is powerful enough to save us from others who seek to destroy. He is with us through the toughest of times here on earth. He never leaves or forsakes us – His love has no boundaries and no limitation. His Grace is more than enough for me and everyone else who needs Him. He is One of Kind – there isNO ONE like Him either before or since. He is Jesus, who walked this planet, lived a sinless life, performed miracles and championed the lowest of our culture because they were humble and receptive to His message of Hope and Grace. The wealthiest person on this planet needs Jesus to spend eternity in heaven. Love wins in the end, because of what Jesus came to do. I may loose some battles, but with Him, I will win the one that counts!
